Mrs Tiessen’s (principal at UMEI from 1988-1992) History classes were enjoyable and her method of teaching made class interesting. A smile always greeted students everyday as well as a cheerful “good morning” or “how was your weekend?” She was very involved in her work here at UMEI, putting in long hours, even after the students and staff went home. The community appreciates Mrs. Tiessen’s hard work in promotion the school!
